Killing someone?
Or letting them live?

If any would be willing

to share your opinion of
which you consider stronger,
I would be grateful.

Haa... [what is with this killing talk so suddenly

but then again there's also her name to consider here...]
I guess it depends on the situation? What is this about, anyway?

It is easier to kill when you have the power to kill and the reason to. It makes you stronger to let them live.

The control to spare a life, even knowing you are not in the wrong, is greater than taking that life. It makes you stronger to spare that life.

Depends on your reason for wanting them dead.

I personally feel it's easier to kill them and be done with it.

Allowing life. It is a terrible thing when anyone dies.

Enough people make excuses for letting something they would kill with absolute freedom live, when in actuality they may be afraid of public backlash for their actions.

Take for example Kefka: he makes no difference between killing an enemy as a fellow soldier and killing an innocent or an ally as long as he can justify it or find a benefit to it in his own world. Never the less, he makes efforts to hide the latter from this community where somebody would... [A frown, a finger tap.] should be able to stop him. In his own world, he gloats freely about his power with nobody to stop him.

I can't yet expect the villagers to be strong enough to kill something with a loved one's face, even if it's making a mockery of their lifetime... Still, my own slacking can only be called cowardice.

It depends on the situation. For one who has grown used to killing, not killing would take more inner strength.

It depends on the person. For some people killing others is ridiculously easy. It doesn't make it strong, ever. Even moreso if you want to kill that person because they did something to you and you're just trying to make the nightmare end. That's just a way of trying to remove the problem instead of solve it. [ Yuri knows, she's thought about ways to go after her murderers before. But on the other side.. she knows she could never murder someone, not really. If they're already dead and going to come back it doesn't count. ] Letting someone live isn't about strength either though, it's about mercy and compassion and not wanting to destroy a part of yourself.

Then it all gets more complicated when you consider things like wars, but I'm guessing you didn't mean that.

Depends. What if they're just letting someone live because they're too much of a pussy to kill someone? That doesn't take strength at all.

[She hasn't talked to her in a long time but this topic seemed important.] It's alright to defend yourself but attacking, and killing, out of fear is weak.

That depends entirely on who it is whose death is on the line.
