The formatting for her speech pattern is inferred from her a slightly disturbed, broken, and convoluted nature. For all intents and purposes, it is supposed to be confusing (or obnoxious or creepy, etc.) in how she speaks- jumping from phrase to word to phrase in an almost mock-echo effect. The alternative would be using ellipses, although ellipses imply a more passive, thoughtful feel to speech- while the formatted breaks convey a staggered edge and emphasize certain words by isolating them.

With the above in mind, I would of course be happy to change it have her "talk...like this...with ellipses" or with no breaks at all if it would make her speech less confusing OOCly if that'd be helpful!
