RL w/ Shooter

[ She has become familiar with this town's streets and buildings. What she is not terribly familiar with are the residents, or the residents who are still alive. The Shiki themselves are easy enough to identify, but what is that information when that doctor never asks for it? Even he seemed to not know what fun there is to do in this village. Dead Master wouldn't blame it on the small population; after all, her own world is far more empty (not including the souls of course, which are countless). She wishes she knew what the youth and elderly do here to occupy themselves when not working or completing their homework.

Currently, they are at the village's shrine, just beneath the weathered torii. By now, her expression has become as blank as Shooter's. ] And so, you have now seen

the entirety of Sotoba.

[ What a lackluster conclusion. Perfectly appropriate for a tour given by an outsider in the first place. ]

[hm, well, it was something new, at least.]

It's really quiet here. [that's... pretty much the most noticeable thing in her perspective]

[hugmyscythe]

[ very quiet. she doesn't think she's heard anyone shout in this village, either. ] Quiet, peaceful, but still full oflife. [ which, in her opinion, makes it better than the boring old dead. ]

Mm...

Are you happy here?

[hugmyscythe]

[ she looks out to the village once again before turning her eyes up towards the main shrine. ] It is not the place, but the people there that make

a world enjoyable.

[ Ozaki's one distant person, but since now that Shooter's here...yes. maybe she is happier than before. even others have noticed as much. ]

Friends, you mean?

[hugmyscythe]

[ ...she does throw that term around lightly. they might consider her friends, and she might say they are- but to her the standard of friendship is far above her head and horns. friends are much more capable, helpful, and good in her eyes. ] Some do say that.[ Shooter does. ]

[starblaze]

[her own standard is friendship is much lower, yet fickle. it's one of those things she can never seem to make her mind up about.]

How many friends have you made through the community?

[hugmyscythe]

[ people that call her a friend? ] ...A fair amount, I suppose.[ but as for people she considers herself to be good enough to be a friend for? the number is much lower. she's realized that she cares more for them than they do for her. it's lonely, but understandable that help won't be returned, considering, you know, that she's done quite a few bad things on this comm. ]

You suppose...

[she looks up at the shrine. a fair amount is better than none, still.]

[hugmyscythe]

And what ofyou?

I've met a lot of people I like. But I don't think they're the kinds of friends I could trust with my life. [just friends to talk to, that's all. she doesn't know anyone well enough, anyways.]

[hugmyscythe]

It is clearly somethingthat cannot be formed by

simply making chocolates.

That's a different kind of friendship.

[hugmyscythe]

Perhaps it needsmore fire.[ the chocolates. and friendship. it's a delicious metaphor. ]

... Something like that, I guess.

[hugmyscythe]

[...hm. she thinks for a moment. ] Is your cannoncapable of shooting

fire itself?

[ because now that she thinks about it, that would be a pretty good weapon to have. fire is a pure, brilliant expression of energy. destructive, but cleansing. and as far as she knows, everything has a point it may become aflame. objects. people. bacteria. ]

I've never tried to do that before... [but since it can shoot rocks, bullets, and turn into a sword? chances are yes.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ but it can't shoot macaroons. anyways! it'd be great if she could get her hands on a weapon like that. maybe someone on the community could get her one. ] Why not tryit now?

... Right here. In front of the shrine.

[hugmyscythe]

[ they're in a village where over half the population is probably dead. or something similar. ] It will nothurt anyone.

[starblaze]

But it could. Isn't there anywhere else I can try it?

[hugmyscythe]

Why not point it towards the sky? [ fire wouldn't...be like a bullet, with actual weight so that it falls to the ground, right? ]

[starblaze]

[haaaah. fine.

she draws her cannon and the metal parts begin to manipulate themselves, scraping over each other.

... ... it doesn't look like a conventional flamethrower, but close enough. she doesn't fire it off just yet, though.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ it's winter. there shouldn't be many birds in the sky. besides, she'd think that Shooter has enough accuracy with any of her weapons to not hit something she did not want to. ] Go on...

[starblaze]

[it's surprisingly easy, actually. the flames are blue, rather than red, stretching high up into the sky.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ as she watches, she wonders if that's the same type of flame that appears out of their eyes. if so....then it has no real damaging effect to their kind. ]

[starblaze]

[she lowers the cannon-turned-flamethrower]

Mm, it works.

[hugmyscythe]

I wonder, I wonder- would that flame hurt

us?

[ as in...that didn't look like standard fire.


maybe you should try shooting it at Dead Master. ]

... I'm not going to flamethrower you.

[hugmyscythe]

[ ...


brings out her scythe. ]

I said I won't. [the flamethrower turns back to the cannon]

[hugmyscythe]

Of course, of course... [ but now she wants a flamethrower, okay?? she looks at the scythe in her hands-- attempts to morph it into something else but...weapons that shoot or spew fire do not seem to be her strong point. a scythe it remains. it has a ranged attack or two, but it's not what she's looking for. ]

I think you're better with close-range attacks, anyways.

[hugmyscythe]

[ that's very true. but she can fly for longer periods of time- and not every otherself can do that. so- ] Would it not bebeneficial that I have

some other form of ranged weapon

as well?

[starblaze]

I guess so. [but you don't need one!!]

[hugmyscythe]

[ too late. she's decided she's going to see if she can ask other comm members for one of their world. because then that'd make the weapon special, right? she'd probably stop using it, though, after realizing that normal weapons require fuel and a whole lot of maintenance to keep them working ] He he

Who knows if I will ever have a

chance to use it.

Or I could make it so that you would have

the honor of being the first

person for it to be used upon. [ it could be flame thrower vs flame thrower!! ]

if she does get one, it'll be probably tried out on that soul. although, she doubts that it will be effective anyways. human weapons are designed for humans. and that soul--whatever it once was-- is certainly not human. ]
