[ No. She's not going to give her a worldhop this time. Everytime Shooter spends with someone else, it's less time with her. She wants Shooter to stay here with her, of course. And it was Shooter that said the different worlds of the living were not for them in the first place. She can pile up other excuses, but the reality of the fact is that no, the possessiveness she has over Shooter has not left her. ]

[ Oh? They've only been to a world together once or twice. Most of time it's her simply being your escort to different places. ]

[hasn't she ever offered for you to come along?]

[ They'd all be with other people, with strangers, with mortals who won't last. (And she thought herself better than that, to dismiss them as such.) ]

[with friends. what's so wrong with spending time with other friends?]

[ She frowns.

(What is wrong? Her thoughts drift to Yomi again, of that wanting to spend as much time as she can with Mato. It's jealousy, it's ugly- and she's made into that ugly monster because of it.. But... she doesn't want to admit that....)

Whoops, that scythe is out. ]

fighting over something like this isn't necessary. you're her best friend. there's nothing to be jealous over.]

[ chains, then? they were good enough to keep you here last time. ]

[starblaze]

[she can break your chains, now.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ of course you would. you don't want to be here with her. ]

[why do you have to say things like that? they hurt her as much as, if not more than, they hurt you.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ Her grip tightens on her scythe. (She's right. It does hurt.) Of course, then it would be better if you would leave already.

....But you'd have to find a worldhop with someone else. ]

[she's not leaving.

keeping her eyes trained on Dead Master, something appears in her open palm- gold- the golden apple she had been saving all these weeks. up until this moment she'd nearly forgotten she still had it.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ wait-- you still had that? Shooter, what are you doing... ]

[starblaze]

[is it an act of defiance? maybe. or perhaps Shooter just had some strange notion that eating the apple would magically fix whatever problem they had.

as usual, Shooter doesn't think before she acts.

she lets the apple fall from her hand once she takes her first bite and swallows.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ Stupid, gullible-- you're actually eating an apple over her? Yeah- she's going to run forward and attack now. ]

[starblaze]

[she doesn't even try to dodge or block or retaliate.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ Well then, that scythe goes right through Shooter. She's rather have Shooter unconscious, incapacitated, or 'dead' than have her be under the influence of a particularly heinous apple. ]

[starblaze]

[there's no gasp of pain or even a flinch. her eyes seem to be staring off into nothing for a long moment... and they they focus on Dead Master.

she smiles.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ odd....perhaps this apple isn't as potent? it's very old, for one thing.

she twists the scythe, wondering if she'll still be smiling after that. ]

[starblaze]

[her smile only widens at that. she begins to pull herself down the blade of the scythe, reaching for Dead Master.]

[ ...Shooter, you're bleeding, she's should have won or--

She feels Shooter's hand on her. She stays still. ]

[hugmyscythe]

[ -- and then she leaps backwards, violently withdrawing the scythe before striking again. There's something very... off about Shooter now, but she can't pin what yet. ]
