[ No. She's not going to give her a worldhop this time. Everytime Shooter spends with someone else, it's less time with her. She wants Shooter to stay here with her, of course. And it was Shooter that said the different worlds of the living were not for them in the first place. She can pile up other excuses, but the reality of the fact is that no, the possessiveness she has over Shooter has not left her. ]

[... don't tell her you changed her mind. this is what you want. what both of them want.

it works out perfectly like this.

she doesn't falter in her steps, drawing closer to Dead Master.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ Fighting, cutting- brute strength seems to do nothing. Perhaps.. simply speaking? ] You...are not yourself.[ She keep the scythe between them. ]

[starblaze]

[and just like that, she's right there in front of Dead Master, having apparently twisted around the scythe.]

I feel fine.

[she wraps an arm around her, as if to ensure she doesn't leap back again. it isn't a hug. it's a gesture of possessiveness.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ she blinks. when did she appear right there- when did that arm wrap around her? ]

[starblaze]

[she smiles and playfully nuzzles Dead Master's neck, her other hand moving to the back of her head to keep her in place. she moves lower, towards her collarbone (towards the cross she uses for worldhops)]

[hugmyscythe]

[ ...For a moment as she feels Shooter upon her neck, the worldhop is far from her mind. She sets her jaw, keeping tight grip on her scythe- but fails to draw away. This is far from an embrace, but there's something more there all the same. ]

[starblaze]

[her tongue lightly runs over pale skin as she eases the cross out from where it's hidden beneath cloth. her fingers tangle in Dead Master's hair as she bites the chain, taking the cross into her mouth and abruptly swallowing it.

there. now neither of them have to go to other worlds ever again.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ She's staring blankly at the dull, grey sky of the Otherworld, but she feels every bit of that tongue running over her skin. She would never mistake this girl for Shooter, but having her here is horribly comforting all the same. By the gentle motion alone she can't tell if the hands in her hair are there for Shooter's own amusement or to give some amount of comfort- but she knows the latter couldn't be the case no matter how much she may wish for it. The proximity is nice, her touch is nice, and she's never been more aware of the difference in their bodies, heights, and color until now. Dead Master had mostly admired her at a distance. This Shooter seems to do the opposite.

The chain snaps followed by the soft swallow; Dead Master realizes her own method of escape is gone for the moment. Would Shooter slaughter her dragon should she call it here? More than likely. She won't risk it as long as she can still think and fight. Her resistance becomes more obvious. She's a hypocrite, isn't she? For acting possessive like that- but not wanting to be the one possessed herself. ]

[starblaze]

[put her in chains. cut her. play with her. do whatever you want. she wants you to do it. and you want to too, don't you? she's yours. and you are hers.

she continues nuzzling Dead Master, grip on her hair tightening when she feels her resistance. don't... do that. you'll only end up hurting them both. but of course, if that's what you want...]

[hugmyscythe]

[ How strange, to have Shooter cling to her like this. It's almost as if Shooter is the one that needs her, instead of how Dead Master relies on and needs Shooter for support. This kind of interaction was something she had hoped for, but only if Shooter was herself. She wonders if this Shooter even knows what she's doing. Comfort and touch are a different kind of chain. Perhaps that comfort and care was something Shooter always felt, but only now it is expressed differently. However, Shooter's right; this would make separation more painful on some level.

She doesn't wish to hurt her, not as she is now and not when Shooter cannot help it. At the same time, as long as she continues to believe this is not Shooter... Her own clawed hand move to Shooter's shoulders, pressing there to possibly to resist more. But- more nuzzling makes her hands linger there before actually pushing her away. ]

[starblaze]

[her expression turns wounded when Dead Master forces her to release her hold. why...? did she do something wrong? it's always Shooter's fault, isn't it? nothing she does can ever seem to make Dead Master smile.]

[starblaze]

[(nothing- she can ever do-)]

[she steps forward again, even closer than she had been last time if possible, roughly digging her fingers into Dead Master's back and grabbing a horn with her other hand.

you're wrong. this is her, the real Shooter. she just... came to her senses, that's all. you're the most important- no, the only important person to her. everyone else doesn't matter now.

she brings her face dangerously close to Dead Master's and slightly parts her lips, lightly dragging her teeth along her jawline. if she changes her mind and pushes Shooter away again... well, then Shooter will just have to be more assertive. it's okay. any method that ensures they both stay together forever.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ The only important person to her...? Yes, that is what she wanted... still wants overall. But she's grown a little, met others, helped them, fought them- and somehow, they became important to her, too. Shooter still remains the most important, perhaps because of Yomi's feelings towards Mato and her lack of feelings towards anyone on this community, but there's also Dead Master's thoughts on her. And if those haven't been obvious already even through their twisted nature, then what more could she do?

Once again it's not the physical aspect of those nails digging into exposed back that hurts her, but the sentiment behind it. Even closer now, Dead Master can hardly see the real Shooter through the warped, possessive expression generated by the apple. Even her touch is different. She attempts to turn her head away as Shooter's mouth grazes her jaw- sweet and tempting- but the hand on her horn keeps her there. She's hers- in a way, she's always been. But she's never been this Shooter's friend.

She moves her hands to Shooter's torso, towards the wound that goes straight through her body- perhaps pressure on an open sore will do more damage. Doing her best to step back a little, she claws Shooter there, tearing the wound wider as she puts more effort into her resistance. ]

[starblaze]

[she's hurt you a lot in the past, hasn't she? spending more time with others, using you for worldhops... well-]

I'll make it up to you. Promise.

[she gasps a little as her wound is torn into, biting down on Dead Master's shoulder and tightening her grip on her horn. she... won't let Dead Master vanish again. get away again. she's here to stay with her alone.]

[ Dead Master wanted Shooter to herself, but the realization of selfishness is only another tool she uses to argue she is indeed a bad person. A promise that Shooter makes here only furthers that, in her mind. And of course in some sick, twisted way she likes this attention, the feel of Shooter, the embrace despite its possessiveness, but an acknowledgement of that comes easy; she's already known she was insidious. Even if this proves she can now withstand an embrace, guilt remains that she does enjoy this contact.

She tenses as Shooter bites down on her shoulder. Is it enough to tear her dress or skin? She isn't focusing on that at the moment. The same stubborn persistence she knows Shooter to have wither her fight, with Dead Master herself, is all reflected here and concentrated on her. Dead Master's hand move to grip the hand that holds her horn. There's no more gentleness in her resistance as she applies pressure that would have any human's bones crushed to powder. It's not quite desperation, but there is an earnestness to her movement as she pushes away. ]

[why-

why are you pushing her away-?

she did something wrong again it's always her fault why can't she do this the right way

there's a new sense of desperation in her movements as she reaches for Dead Master again.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ She pauses for a moment- possibly another mistake during this time. Persistence is something she recognizes in Shooter. Desperation and pleading are not. She wants... to comfort her. But- her words register as something so unlike Shooter coming from the girl herself; it's surreal enough to throw Dead Master off guard, even as she calls upon a giant skull.

She may have reached for her and grabbed Dead Master, but that skull is right about to ram into Shooter. ]

[starblaze]

[her cannon appears as the skull crashes into Shooter with a loud crack; without hesitation, she fires multiple rounds into the skull.

... why are you trying to hurt her...?]

[hugmyscythe]

[ The skull will buy time, but not much. It is something to take hits from Shooter as Dead Master draws her scythe.

You... you're not Shooter. (Any other time she would have no problems fighting her, but after that embrace...She has to believe this to fight at this point. She keeps her eyes averted from the wound she gave Shooter earlier. How much more before she would stop, if such a thing is possible? )

The skull begins to crack upon multiple shots from the canon. Better to keep her distance. Dead Master spins the scythe before striking the ground, sending a wave of green energy towards her. ]

[starblaze]

[she doesn't want to fight. doesn't want to hurt. doesn't want to leave any marks on Dead Master with her weapons. there are other alternatives.

such as...

she dodges the energy and dodges the skull- and her cannon is replaced by her sword. without waiting for a reaction or second attack, she stabs herself in the knee, unable to hold back a strangled gasp as she falls.

there- now you- she needs you, see? don't leave her here- please]

[hugmyscythe]

[ She stops her attack then. What... what has that apple done to Shooter? She's disgusted that she would hurt herself on purpose for Dead Master or to be wit her. This isn't strength; that neediness is equivalent to Dead Master's pathetic weakness. To Dead Master, Shooter's the last person who would need anyone- least of all her. ] ...Stop.

[ Her tone is cold. She's even more disgusted at herself for not being capable of showing more sympathy. Shooter always did so with her, whenever she was needed. Reciprocating such actions takes strength that Shooter has.

....She'd rather have Shooter continuing to attack her rather than herself. She repeats a little more gently: ] Stop.

[starblaze]

[she actually whimpers, an unfamiliar sound coming from Shooter, one hand grasping at the wound on her knee while the other reaches out towards Dead Master. the needy gesture coupled with her curled up on the ground paints a pathetic picture of helplessness, of desperation.

but at that moment, Shooter couldn't care less. she only wants- needs Dead Master.]

[hugmyscythe]

[ So this is whimpering girl to which Shooter has been reduced to. Dead Master wonders if she should simply put her out of her misery and wait until she revives to turn her back to normal. It is so much easier to resort to violence than sympathy, but this only goes to show how much stronger Shooter is. Dead Master turns violent towards Shooter; in contrast, whatever the apple did here amplified some need of Shooter's, as well as her self-sacrificing nature- and the result is harming herself. Dead Master would rather have Shooter hurt her than herself, but pain to her is so much more manageable than seeing the most important person to her self-inflict pain.

She walks closer. She should really finish this. ]

[there's no fear whatsoever in her eyes. only an adoring, needy, unconditional love that spreads her lips into a weak smile.

she trusts Dead Master to do whatever she wants. and whatever she does, Shooter will enjoy every moment of it.]
